About Lakeland Home Inspection Service

As ASHI-Certified Home Inspectors, we have helped hundreds of homebuyers gain the knowledge and understanding they needed to make wise purchasing decisions and become educated, responsible homeowners.

Hello, I’m Alex McKenzie. I have great respect for the stressful, demanding nature of your home buying process. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge you need to negotiate your real estate transaction in your best interest. By removing uncertainty, I help buyers and sellers move forward with confidence.

Beyond the sale, I aim to help my clients know what to expect when it comes to maintaining their home and preventing minor defects from growing into major headaches.

I routinely provide inspection services to Habitat for Humanity homes. Specifically, I work with veterans to assist them in getting funding through Habitat for Humanity to make their homes safer and more accessible. I’m proud to be able to contribute to our central Florida communities in this way.

In addition to my ASHI Certification, I actively pursue other home inspection education opportunities. My current certifications include:

Hi, my name is Jack Day and I am an honorably discharged Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. In addition to my home inspector license, I am an HVAC technician and working plumber. I have 20+ years of experience in A/C and plumbing repairs, service, and installations.

My goal is to give you great service by providing you with a thorough, detailed, and well-documented Home Inspection. I’m available on weekends, so if you would like a home inspection on a Saturday or Sunday, it’s likely we’ll be working together.

Your Inspection: What to Expect

We encourage you to be present for your inspection. While not required, this can be of great value to you. We’ll be able to show you, in real space and time, areas of concern and recommend ways to address any defects. For clients who are unable to attend their inspection, we make greater use of video footage when compiling your report. Whether or not you are able to attend, we conduct our inspections following a strict code of ethics.

We welcome your questions, both during your inspection and after you receive your report. Our sincere goal is to help you become an educated, responsible homeowner. In addition to reporting on current conditions and potential concerns, we strive to give you a deeper understanding of your home and its systems. This is the place where your life will happen; you deserve to know everything you possibly can about it.

Detailed, Easy-to-Read Inspection Report

While concise and easy to read, your inspection report will be a detailed, in-depth description of my findings—good, bad or indifferent. Your digital report will include expandable, high-resolution photographs of any potential defects or areas of concern, as well as notes and recommendations. Lakeland Home Inspection Service is available to answer all your questions, even months after your inspection is completed. You have a lot on your plate, and sometimes questions arise after the dust of your move has settled. Please, don’t hesitate to stay in touch.

Using the innovative, state-of-the-art Create Request List (CRL™) Feature, you’ll be able to request repairs or allowances right from your report! Buyer, seller and both agents will have access to the report and see your requests in real time. No need for long email chains, everyone is kept in the loop automatically. There’s even space to add your own notes. Communication has never been simpler.
